Who Is Most Likely to Win the 2025 Super Bowl?
It isn’t surprising that the Kansas City Chiefs are holding steady at the top of the Super Bowl odds board. At +400, they still have the shortest odds. No team has ever won the Super Bowl three times in a row, but the Chiefs have been in the top spot since the season first started. However, by week eight, some shake-ups took place among other contenders on the board.
Current top contenders for the Super Bowl title
US sports betting is now legal in most states, and sports fans are eagerly following as the odds change leading up to the Super Bowl. The best sporting apps raise their game for the Super Bowl and it’s a prime time for bettors to cash in on special promotions. Operators post NFL futures right after the previous Super Bowl, and the odds move around until the kickoff of the next year’s Super Bowl. The Chiefs could be unbeatable if the defense can sustain the level of play and the offense kicks up a notch. There were still the odds favorites entering the ninth week after a win in Las Vegas.
The Detroit Lions are currently in second place on the board. They are sitting at +600 after they easily won against Tennessee by 52-14. They are getting great play from Jared Goff and six different players scored touchdowns.
The Baltimore Ravens fell slightly to +750. The Browns pulled off an upset by beating them in Cleveland. This happened after the Ravens had won five in a row. Despite this loss, the market’s confidence in Lamar Jackson hasn’t wavered.
Another contender for the Super Bowl title after eight weeks of the season is the Buffalo Bills at +900. They are the fourth team on the board after a 31-10 win against Seattle.
The 49ers current odds of winning the Super Bowl are +1100. In their most recent outing, they did win against the Dallas Cowboys 30-24. Some of the top players in the team are Purdy, Mason, Guerendo, and Kittle. Their next game will be against the Buccaneers.
Mid-tier contenders
In the mid-tier are the Green Bay Packers at +1500. In their last outing, they won 30-27 over the Jacksonville Jaguars. With the celebrity culture that surrounds players like Jordan Love with his explosive plays, it’s no wonder he is one of the highest-paid players in the NFL. The team went fairly unnoticed in the early season due to the success of the Lions and Vikings in their division.
Another team in the mid-tier of Super Bowl contenders is the Minnesota Vikings at +1400. The Vikings have only had one loss, and that was a game against the Lions. They lost via a field goal with less than 30 seconds left.
The performance of the Philadelphia Eagles hasn’t been that impressive up to this point and their odds are currently sitting at +1600. Their defense does keep improving, however, and their offense is still one of the most talented in the NFL.
Super Bowl long shots
Long shots such as taking the title include the Bengals, Steelers, or Falcons. The New York Jets had a big fall after their week 8 matchup with New England. They went from +4000 to +6500. The Cowboys dropped from +5000 to +8000.
The Falcons are leading the NFC North as the season approaches midway and could be a pick to watch. Sportsbooks are pricing them as a relative afterthought, but Kirk Cousins is playing particularly well. Atlanta is setting itself up to host a playoff game in January, but it is still outside of the top five in NFC title odds.
The Rams and the Buccaneers were previous Super Bowl winners in 2021 and 2022. This season, with odds at +6000, the Rams have very little chance of winning. The Kansas City Chiefs have a good chance of keeping their winning streak intact in their match-up against the Buccaneers in early November.
